Paper Breakfast will be participating in the upcoming Boston Bazaar Bizarre in December. This annual craft fair always draws a big crowd and gives you the chance to support local artists and get lovely gifts for the holidays or any time all in one shot! I will be selling an array of 2009 calendars, bound blank books with illustrated covers, letterpress cards and card sets, illustrated books, prints, and other things too.

Printing Arts Fair at The Museum of Printing, North Andover, MA

This museum is really amazing and filled to the brim with printing presses and ephemera. On Father's Day (June 15), they'll have a lot of the presses up and running, as well as over a dozen vendors selling lovely items: handmade books, printing equipment, paper, cards, and more. It's co-sponsored by the Letterpress Guild of New England and the Museum, and it is free. Vendors include: Albertine Press, B Designs, Carta, Inc., Rainy Planet Press, Sea Dog Press, Press Bound, Paper Breakfast, and others. There will be demonstrations of bookbinding, paper-making, paper-marbling, lithography, typesetting, and letterpress printing as well as hands-on activities. If you viewed this blog in the last two days, I had last year's flyer up by accident. The correct date is Sunday, June 15... Come by if you can!

I like these books because, like longstitch bindings, they open nice and flat for ease of use. Brown linen thread with grey bookcloth.

Brookline Arts Center 33rd Annual Crafts Showcase

Paper Breakfast will be selling sweet items for 3 weekends at this fall craft fair. 2008 illustrated calendars, letterpress squid, owl and deer greeting cards (printed at The Goosefish Press), handbound longstitch books with illustrated endpapers, and more.

Thursdays - Sundays 12 noon - 6 pm (8 pm on Thursdays) Nov 28 - Dec 16! The Brookline Arts Center is on 86 Monmouth St in Brookline, MA.

T Directions: get off at St Mary's from the C Line and walk down Saint Mary's St for 1 block. From the D line trains, get off at Fenway, walk up the stairs and take a right on Park Dr. Take the first left on Medfield which becomes Monmouth (5 min walk).
